Learn More About Heat Pumps
Heat pumps closely resemble air conditioners but have the added advantage of delivering both heating and cooling. During summer, they offer cooling and humidity control similar to a conventional central air unit. A refrigerant absorbs heat from within your home before transferring it outside to be released at the condenser.
In winter, the process is reversed. Heat is extracted from the outdoor air and brought indoors to maintain a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Heat pumps excel in both heating and cooling modes, boasting remarkable efficiency as they don't generate heat like an electric coil-type heater. Instead, they transport heat from one location to another.
Heat Pump Benefits
Cooling and Heating in One System
Heating and cooling in one system make for a cost-effective comfort solution, with service and maintenance only needed for one unit.
High-Energy Efficiency
While operating in cooling mode, heat pumps deliver a 14 to over 20 SEER rating, comparable to an air conditioner. In heating mode, they boast an HSPF of 8 to 10 and consume considerably less electricity than a resistance-based electric heater with the same output.
No Gas Connection Necessary
Heat pumps are only powered by electricity, so there’s no need to have a natural gas connection or store propane at your residence.
Reliable Performance During Hot and Cold Temperatures
Heat pumps excel in both warm and chilly conditions, and they come with supplementary electric heat for extremely low temperatures. They ensure outstanding comfort, air quality, and humidity management.
